Learn More About Our Fabric Pumice Stone

What we love most about our Fabric Pumice Stone is that it is a natural, effective way to safely remove pills from your garments and upholstered furniture. No electricity needed, no replacement parts, and (best of all) no ruined garments.

So, how do we stack up against other de-pilling options?

Electric de-pillers work by pulling the loose fibers of the garments into contact with rotating blades inside the endcap. Unfortunately, this action all too often pulls in the woven fiber threads as well, causing holes and tearing — not at all what we want for our favorite sweaters!

Lint rollers are safe to use on all fabric types but are not very effective at removing pilling. The stickiness of the roller seldom has the power to effectively pull up pills. Additionally, lint rollers create a significant amount of plastic waste that ends up in our landfills.

The Fabric & Sweater Pumice is eco-responsible, effective, and requires no energy (except your own man-power and patience). We might be biased, but we feel it’s pretty easy to see which option wins this contest!

My old black sweater is finally pilling-free again after a few gentle passes with this stone. Even got the stubborn cat hair off the armchair without any snagging.

Took this to my favorite wool cardigan that had started looking fuzzy, and it cleaned up the pilling in just a few gentle passes without snagging a single thread. Nice to have something so simple that actually works on both sweaters and the couch.

I was skeptical, but after running this stone over an old wool cardigan the difference is night and day—it peeled off the fuzz without any snagging at all. Even tackled the stray cat hairs that were woven into the fabric.

My denim jacket had those fuzzy little pills all along the cuffs, and this stone smoothed them away in just a few passes — even picked up the dog hair stuck around the collar.

John J. ★★★★★

Took this to my favorite chunky cardigan that was looking tired, and it lifted the pills off in seconds without grabbing the weave at all. Even cleared the cat hair from the armrests of our sofa.

This thing glides over my wool cardigan like magic, and I was shocked how much fuzz came off. Even the dog hair that was woven into the cuffs lifted right away without snagging a single thread.

Pulled it over my favorite wool cardigan and was honestly surprised how easily the pills came off without snagging the knit. Even picked up the pet hair clinging to the sleeves.

I’ve been using this pumice on my favorite wool cardigan and it picked off the fuzz balls easily without pulling any threads. Also cleared the cat hair off the sofa cushions in just a few swipes.

I was skeptical a stone could clean my sweaters, but it gently whisked away pilling without snagging the fibers in one smooth pass. Even got the stubborn pet hair off my favorite knit.

Emma ★★★★☆

I was skeptical it could handle my heavy-knit blanket without pulling threads, but it glided over the fabric and lifted the pilling easily. Kept my old sweater looking fresh after just a few light strokes.
